[Before Maron's voice comes through the journals, you might find her transporting a couple of bags full of ribbons on sticks, bouncy balls, and what look like hula hoops and juggling clubs through the village toward the lake.

After she gets about one fourth of the way, she'll get off the path and pause, and crack open her journal.]

Hi~ Maron here! It might be a little overcast out, but it's still a nice day out, isn't it? So! To celebrate, I'm out practicing some rhythmic gymnastics! I don't know how many people would be interested, but I can teach anyone who is interested. I'm out a little ways from the village proper, toward the larger lake, a little off the path. Come out and say hi!

[Anyone interested will find her there, already practicing, of course. She'll happily hand out her makeshift supplies to practice with to anyone who asks.]

It's a good way to clear your mind, you get a lot of exercise, and it's fun! [Those are best reasons and you can't argue with it. :|]

Clear your mind? It sounds like it might be a bit complicated to really clear the whole mind out.

Not at all! You know how people have hobbies that they do to just stop thinking about everything? That's kind of what this is for me.

So it isn't really that complicated...?

Mm-mm! Even really simple moves look really nice if you string them together in a fluid motion. You should definitely try.

[How much will it take to get Kyon out here? Maron will be testing this.]

['Uh-uh. This will take physical compulsion for me to do it.']

I have a feeling that will be a 'no'. You should at least try, and then you can say you've tried something that's a lot of fun. It's good exercise, even!

Well, question. Is it still a lot of fun if I fall on my ass and then sprain my ankle? If so, I guess you can sign me up, but I've got my doubts.

You won't, it's not like you'd be going pirouettes or anything crazy right off the bat!

Ooor I could remind you right now? [Yes. She's still trying to weasel her way into getting him there right now.] But, I guess if that's not possible, every other day I'll probably be doing this.

Now all I have to do is fool around in the plaza and everything will be well...'

Unless his guilt seizes hold of him. Or she comes to drag him there, but... she wouldn't do that...

[...probably not. But she'll be upset he didn't show. :(

In fact, if guilt does seize hold of him, and he ends up meandering toward the lake, he might find her, sitting with her things, and looking... more sad than anything.

For her, perhaps she was too pushy? If she were to see him, she'd be sure to apologize if she came off that way.

[Sure enough, guilt comes.

'As it always does when a cute girl is involved.'

And he makes his way over to the lake. Her looking sad only makes it far worse.

'Time to fake happiness and confusion...']

O-Oh... There you are!

[Maron will look up, and stand straight up when she sees him.]

S-sorry! Sorry, if I was too pushy. I didn't mean to be. I was afraid I had scared you off. I wasn't sure if you heard me when I said I was here, but... I was more worried you weren't going to show. So, again, I'm really sorry.

[She'll even bow really, really low.]

N-No! Not at all... I'm sorry I'm so late, I-I would be really sad if I missed it... Yeah, please don't apologize.

[Maron will stand up straight again once he starts talking, and maybe smile a little.]

It's all right, and I'm glad to hear that. I was going to be pretty angry with myself had I done that. You would have gotten an apology regardless.
