[Before Maron's voice comes through the journals, you might find her transporting a couple of bags full of ribbons on sticks, bouncy balls, and what look like hula hoops and juggling clubs through the village toward the lake.

After she gets about one fourth of the way, she'll get off the path and pause, and crack open her journal.]

Hi~ Maron here! It might be a little overcast out, but it's still a nice day out, isn't it? So! To celebrate, I'm out practicing some rhythmic gymnastics! I don't know how many people would be interested, but I can teach anyone who is interested. I'm out a little ways from the village proper, toward the larger lake, a little off the path. Come out and say hi!

[Anyone interested will find her there, already practicing, of course. She'll happily hand out her makeshift supplies to practice with to anyone who asks.]

[There's some silence from her now, though she is trying to figure something out to say. Awkward silence isn't her forte.]

What hobbies do you have?

[It almost sounds blunt - but it's better than the weird silence.]

Oh. You know, um, hanging out, reading manga, going to my club. Uh. Really, that takes up a lot of time.

Club? What sort of club is it? I never imagined a club would take up a lot of time.

Well, have you heard of the SOS Brigade here?

Mmm... maybe in passing, but nothing about it.

Well, it's that club at home, too, except, a little different -- but run by the same fanatical spirit.

[windofgod]

A little different? How is it different? And... what do you mean by 'fanatical spirit'?

Different people. Different goal. Quite a few different things.

Well, I mean... she's fanatical and she has a lot of spirit.

...should I be afraid for your safety in this club, Kyon?

Oh, probably. But considering how long it's been going on, I think I've learned to cope.

Ah, good. I'd be disappointed if I lost a gymnastics student to a... fanatical spirit of a club leader.

[Maron will laugh some, before jogging ahead into the item shop. It won't take her long to be on her way out after a short time in there to find a rope.]

On her return, then--]

Who knows? Maybe she'll just co-opt you and have you join the club too.

I guess the question is, would I survive this club too?

Well, it has a fun side too. It's pretty harmless in Luceti. No one will force you to do stuff if you really don't want to. Despite the bluster. ['Probably.']

Eehh... well, maybe, if the gymnastics thing doesn't take off. Maybe I'll let you recruit me! [...she'll say with a smile, and start to head on back to where they had been before.]

Aha--right. Well, I hope the gymnastics thing works out, then. Never know, it could rocket to popularity. It could be the next yoga.
