[Before Maron's voice comes through the journals, you might find her transporting a couple of bags full of ribbons on sticks, bouncy balls, and what look like hula hoops and juggling clubs through the village toward the lake.

After she gets about one fourth of the way, she'll get off the path and pause, and crack open her journal.]

Hi~ Maron here! It might be a little overcast out, but it's still a nice day out, isn't it? So! To celebrate, I'm out practicing some rhythmic gymnastics! I don't know how many people would be interested, but I can teach anyone who is interested. I'm out a little ways from the village proper, toward the larger lake, a little off the path. Come out and say hi!

[Anyone interested will find her there, already practicing, of course. She'll happily hand out her makeshift supplies to practice with to anyone who asks.]

[Maron will stand up straight again once he starts talking, and maybe smile a little.]

It's all right, and I'm glad to hear that. I was going to be pretty angry with myself had I done that. You would have gotten an apology regardless.

['May I never feel guilt like that again... I'd do rhythmic gymnastics every day for the rest of my life to avoid it.']

Don't worry about it at all. I'm just happy I caught you in time. [he lies with a straight face.]

So! How do you do it?

[Biggest. Smile. EVER.]

I can give you a demonstration? Buuut of course, it'll be kinda girly, and you don't necessarily have to be girly either. You could juggle the clubs and spin in place and you'd be doing things right. [For a guy doing a usually women-only sport.]

Oh, don't worry about it. I owe it to you to give it a shot, at least.

['Considering the massive rebounded mental pain and suffering.']

[Then with a nod, she'll hand over the two clubs she's holding.] Can you juggle?

[He takes them like they're swords.]

... Well, I can juggle balls. For about twenty seconds.

Ah here, hold them like this.

[Maron will be taking his hands and readjusting the clubs and his grip slightly. Hope you don't mind, Kyon!]

It's easier this way. Loosen your grip a little, and act like you're juggling, but slowly. When one is half way down, throw the other. You can catch them easier that way.

[Minding is the last thing on his... mind. Even if not for massive overriding guilt from just now, and also apprehension about how girly this will, inherently, cute girls adjusting your hands isn't something to complain about.]

Uh, okay. We'll see if I can even catch one of them, huh?

[He tosses the one in his right hand up, then, as she directed, when the second one comes down, tosses the second one--and, much to his surprise, catches them both.

...but then manages to have forgotten completely about rethrowing them up again. Oops.]

...Hey, not bad.

See? It's not bad at all, right? Just-- ah careful! [Those clubs are looking mighty close to his head, and Maron has had her fair share of clubs to the head in practice. They might not hurt too much, but it's unpleasant nonetheless. Maron will jump to hopefully grab one, if not both of the clubs before they hit Kyon.

That would be a terrible thing to let happen, especially considering she's not supposed to let things like this happen. If he didn't mind her hands, there's probably not going to be much of a problem with a girl in his personal bubble like woah.

What will you do, Kyon?]

['Besides panic a little bit, and also enjoy it a little bit, and also remember that I'm almost completely incapable of doing things like juggling ... well, that's really enough to be going on with.'

He does flinch a bit on principle, though. He's only used to Koizumi getting up in his grill like that.]

It's no problem. I didn't want you to get hurt when I said you wouldn't. Especially then.

[Once the clubs are in hand, she'll move away from him.] Hm... I don't know if anything else would be worth it. A ribbon is too girly, and I dunno about the hoop or ball. Unless... you want to try something else?

You're the expert, Kusakabe-san. I'll try whatever. ['I'm not sure my guilt will even be expiated unles it's at least moderately humiliating. Then I'll feel like I gave something up at least.']

What's "something else", anyway?

Ex... expert... well, I try I guess! [Maron will smile and laugh at that.]

Well, there's rope too. It's short, but I don't really have any. It's what I'm missing out of my props, actually.

Ah. Well, why don't we get some, then?

['And that way I don't have to look feminine or disappoint!']

Uh... sure! It's about the length of a jump rope. We could probably use one of those, actually. I should be able to keep all of this stuff here, it wouldn't hurt.

[So with a hop, she'll turn and look back at him, smile on her face as she does so.] So let's go!

['Hey, this might not be bad at all in the end, huh?']

Sounds good.

Is it... functionally used in the same way as a jump rope, too?

Yep! Just add a little flourish and you'd have the perfect apparatus for this sport. It's nothing too weird or girly. Bet you could impress someone like that.

Impress someone? Like who?

Ah... I dunno, a girl you like, or... unless you don't like girls, I guess. Someone you like. If you practice, you might be able to get into the Olympics. Aah I can see it! "Kyon-- the first and currently only Rhythmic Gymnast!" You'd win the gold medal!

F-For the record, I do like girls. And only girls.

I guess so. I like doing it because it's fun. That and it's good exercise. It can be rewarding that way. Aaand like I said, it's a good way to get a girl~
