Yup. That's the any luck minimum. [He swallows a little, bravado not quite making it up to his face.]

I'd say together. Who knows what'll happen if we pass through separately?

Right. That seems like a good idea. I don't want to get lost in a maze of rooms or something while you're safe for the time being or vice versa.

[She's not sure how to stick together, unless it's by holding hands or doing something awkward like holding on to each other and jumping, so... Maron will just stick out her hand and hope that works?]

All right. [Deep breath. 'It's not as if I wasn't just grabbing her waist!' He holds out his hand.] On three?

R-right! On three! One... two...

[...Shutting eyes now. Maron's hesitating to say three. Scared? Her? You better believe it.]

['...You're leaving me hanging here, Sifsis!']

...Two and a half...?

Aah no, you're supposed to-- [OKOK fine she'll just grab on to him completely (but still gripping his hand) and shout:]

[And jumps. Here's to hoping Kyon goes too.]

The grabbing on is unexpected but he launches off at the doorway, closing his eyes.

'...and waiting to be burned to death! At least it's with a cute girl, right?! Really grasping at straws now.']

[And off they go! Through the door, away from the lava and... hopefully not burning to death! Somewhere in the span of them jumping, Maron had squeezed her eyes shut as well and was hoping for something that didn't equate to death. But once they were likely through the door she opened them again to see a regular floor. Where they were didn't matter, it wasn't with lava at least!

But with a floor comes a CRASH on to it.]

['...Ow. You know, I probably should've braced for impact rather than lava. There's really no use of bracing for lava.

Oh well.'

He lies there for a second before struggling to get to at least a sitting position.]

...You okay?

Y-- yeah, I think so, what about you? I guess we didn't land in lava. Just a hard floor instead, huh?

Well, that's certainly what it feels like.

[He rubs his shoulder with a wince, looking around at the surroundings. Unfamiliar.]

You know where this is?

[After looking around...]

No... unless we're in one of the empty rooms. It doesn't look like it's inhabited.

Yeah.

[He looks warily around a little longer before shrugging.]

Well, I don't know about you, but I don't really feel like risking another door just yet.

Definitely not. I guess... we're gonna camp out here, then. Not much else to do and I doubt going out a window would be any safer.

[And after a pause:]

No being a total... guy about things either, don't do anything dirty.

['So I really seem like that kind of guy?!']

Fine. As long as you don't be a total girl about things and accuse me of being a pervert when it's an innocent misunderstanding.
