I could almost use it against you. The name, I mean. It sounds like what a cat would say or something. "Kyon kyon~" ...like that. But I won't. I don't like that much. I'll think more.
[Maron will go quiet for a few minutes, before thinking of something that, from the look of it, might just worry her a little.]
H-hey Kyon... what happens if... the lava doesn't go away by midnight tonight?
It wasn't your fault you did, it's not really like you could have helped it. But then I'll be trapped here too, unless I follow you out of here for a while. Er, that is, if I'd end up in the same place as you if the doorways are being weird.
Maybe. It would suck if it didn't work right. We'd have to open the door first, but... what happened if we launched ourselves into lava too? [Maron goes pale just thinking about it, before shaking it off and giving Kyon a slightly worried look.] That could be bad.
[She's eying her setup of the table and chairs to her door, and anything else on the floor that they could use to get out. There's a bedside table and a stepladder for the makeshift shelves she's got... hmmm...]
It might help. We can try to leap through the door from the table if we can't balance and get the door open. I might be able to reach one of the undamaged chairs to get us to the table if I try.
It's better than being stuck in here for the time being- not that you aren't nice company, of course! - but trying to get some sleep might be kind of... weird if it stays like this. [And that's already making her feel awkward just mentioning it, not to mention the stuff about gymnastics from earlier!]
So... I'll try.
[And with that, she'll balance herself on a hand at the edge of her bed, and lean as far as she can, trying to edge her fingers on to the chair. She really can't go any further though she's trying to. Until her hand slips and she goes toward the lava WHAT DO, KYON?]
Well, it certainly forestalls any response about ... sleeping. And weirdness. He does the first thing he can think of, i.e., grab on to the back of her shirt and try and haul her back with all his might.
'Which will, granted, make me look extremely stupid as I topple back onto the bed, but better that than the alternative, right?'
And so he definitely loses his balance while attempting to haul her in, too, falling flat on his back like a doofus on the bed.]
[At least Maron isn't heavy? She'll go back with Kyon, falling back onto him face up. Well that was an adventure she didn't want! Settling herself down, Maron will go to get up and flinch. Once up, she'll examine the hand the slipped.]
You're not the only one who will need healing now. [Turning, she shows her hand. Lightly burned, much like Kyon's feet.]
You might want to try, or hold on to me while I grab stuff.
It's all right. I should have braced myself better. [She'll mull that over a moment, then smile some. There's an obvious joking tone in what she says next:] Don't do anything terrible if you do, or you'll never live it down.
[But she'll return to being serious.] How should we do this, then?
[...ok, that was cute. Maron will chuckle a little and shake her head.] But you did, Kyon! You started to blush again. [It's doing wonders to dispel the fact that she's nervous to get back over the lava again to get the way out built up.
As it is, she's getting ready to reach for the chair again, kneeling at the edge of her bed. She'll get it this time, or... she'll melt her face off.]
P-probably not, and I'd prefer not to have that happen! I'm... I'm ready when you are, Kyon!
[This is just awkward. Hopefully no one else can come in, or will, at this moment because... wow how bad would this look?! But, after a moment of steeling herself to pretty much launch her upper body over some lava, she'll let out an "All right!" and... do just that.
This time, she's a little more successful in grabbing the chair. She'll pull it far enough to where she knows her legs can reach it, and more than likely, Kyon's as well.]
Now we just have to get over to the door from here! We're almost free!
[She'll settle herself back next to Kyon, smiling brightly. That wasn't so bad... yet!]
Well... we can get ourselves on to the table and either dive out the door and hope it breaks on the way out, or grab the step-stool and we can open the door that way... and hope we don't fall into more lava.
Probably not. We just have to hope for the best! [SHE'S PERFECT AT REASSURING PEOPLE] But even if we die, we come back... so there's that! [Totally perfect.]
Are we just going to jump through? Hope for the best? It's probably our best option, but if we can land on our feet, we can probably escape dying a horrible death at least.
Do you think you can get on to the table all right? I don't want you to hurt your feet more.
['Could we try to stay away from phrases like "probably escape dying a horrible death" please? It's just a little ... draining.']
Yeah--Yeah, I got it. Jump through and hope for the best, get on the table--[He starts to clamber his way over a little awkwardly, and wobbles a bit, but is...
'Far too manly to ask for help? To need help, I mean. Yeah.' ... going to continue trying to get over.]
[Far too manly, but she'll help anyway because she's a bro-- sis?-- like that.]
I'll try to get the door, you get ready to jump. Maybe, with any luck, we'll land in a safe place and not someone else's room where they have an ocean full of man-eating plants or something.
[She's so good with being reassuring, isn't she? Still, Maron will get herself to open the door, and... well it looks normal so far, and she didn't fall into the boiling lava below them doing so, two pluses for the price of one.]
Should we jump at the count of three and jump together? Or separately?
Right. That seems like a good idea. I don't want to get lost in a maze of rooms or something while you're safe for the time being or vice versa.
[She's not sure how to stick together, unless it's by holding hands or doing something awkward like holding on to each other and jumping, so... Maron will just stick out her hand and hope that works?]
[And off they go! Through the door, away from the lava and... hopefully not burning to death! Somewhere in the span of them jumping, Maron had squeezed her eyes shut as well and was hoping for something that didn't equate to death. But once they were likely through the door she opened them again to see a regular floor. Where they were didn't matter, it wasn't with lava at least!

Your real name is unwieldy? But if you like your real name over Kyon... shouldn't it be your decision?

[He pauses to reflect on her question though.]
...Ah. Well... I'll figure out a way to cross it. I mean, it's -- my responsibility, really, I busted into your room.
no subject
[That's the problem with it. :\a]

['Most ridiculous promise of the day.']
And there's definitely no lava in my room. Which is where this door led when I was coming in, anyway.
no subject
no subject
Hell, maybe it could lead into your closet. Apparently my front door did at one point last night.
Still, might be worth a shot, right...?

You might want to try, or hold on to me while I grab stuff.
no subject
Sorry. Should've seen that coming.
[And gets back to his footing, too.]
I'm... not so sure you could drag me up so easily if I fall. So maybe you can try again and I'll hold on to you.
['And it will surely not be awkward at all.']
no subject
[But she'll return to being serious.] How should we do this, then?
no subject
And he will blush before trying to be serious himself.]
Umm... I don't know, do you want me to hold--like--your legs or something...?
[he really has zero idea completely.]
no subject
Hm hm... will it make you blush again if that's fine?
[Okok she'll be serious.]
My waist might be best, actually. Just as long as I don't fold over and hit the lava, we'll be good!
1/2
... No.
[see icon.]

['"Probably wouldn't be helpful," he said. Yeah, that's an accurate appraisal of the danger.']
Whenever you're ready.

no subject
I...'m afraid I can neither confirm nor deny those allegations.
['Okay, okay.'
He tentatively grips her around the waist, then. Wow, this is -- new.]
All right. Go for it, Maron-chan... I'll be here.
['"I'll be over here," he said gallantly. Wait, shouldn't it be "I'll be here for you?"
Whatever...']

So, ready for part two? How do you want to do this?

Well, let's get to it, then.

no subject
I'd say together. Who knows what'll happen if we pass through separately?
no subject
[She's not sure how to stick together, unless it's by holding hands or doing something awkward like holding on to each other and jumping, so... Maron will just stick out her hand and hope that works?]

[...Shutting eyes now. Maron's hesitating to say three. Scared? Her? You better believe it.]
no subject
['...You're leaving me hanging here, Sifsis!']
...Two and a half...?
no subject
Three!
[And jumps. Here's to hoping Kyon goes too.]
no subject
['Here goes nothing.'
The grabbing on is unexpected but he launches off at the doorway, closing his eyes.
'...and waiting to be burned to death! At least it's with a cute girl, right?! Really grasping at straws now.']
no subject
But with a floor comes a CRASH on to it.]
no subject
Oh well.'
He lies there for a second before struggling to get to at least a sitting position.]
...You okay?
no subject
no subject
[He rubs his shoulder with a wince, looking around at the surroundings. Unfamiliar.]
You know where this is?
no subject
No... unless we're in one of the empty rooms. It doesn't look like it's inhabited.
no subject
[He looks warily around a little longer before shrugging.]
Well, I don't know about you, but I don't really feel like risking another door just yet.
no subject
[And after a pause:]
No being a total... guy about things either, don't do anything dirty.
no subject
Fine. As long as you don't be a total girl about things and accuse me of being a pervert when it's an innocent misunderstanding.
