[Before Maron's voice comes through the journals, you might find her transporting a couple of bags full of ribbons on sticks, bouncy balls, and what look like hula hoops and juggling clubs through the village toward the lake.

After she gets about one fourth of the way, she'll get off the path and pause, and crack open her journal.]

Hi~ Maron here! It might be a little overcast out, but it's still a nice day out, isn't it? So! To celebrate, I'm out practicing some rhythmic gymnastics! I don't know how many people would be interested, but I can teach anyone who is interested. I'm out a little ways from the village proper, toward the larger lake, a little off the path. Come out and say hi!

[Anyone interested will find her there, already practicing, of course. She'll happily hand out her makeshift supplies to practice with to anyone who asks.]

Sure, that's fine! I'm mainly practicing to keep my spirits up in being trapped here, and this is the perfect way to do so!

If I'm coming along, I should introduce myself. I'm Ami Mizuno. It's very nice to meet you.

Ah, it's nice to meet you, Ami! I'm Maron. Now you won't have problems finding me.

I'll be there shortly.

[Ami says a polite goodbye before setting out, and true to her word, she arrives at the side path, near the lake, in good time. Unobtrusively, she watches for a few moments without calling attention to herself, reluctant to spoil the moment by distracting Maron.]

[Whens he's finished, she'll take a breath and see Ami there, to whom she'll wave.] Ami~ Hi! Did you want to try?

[She can't help smiling in return, not quite as boisterous as Maron's, but no less sincere for that.]

You'd have to teach me all the moves; I don't really know gymnastics except for a few things in gym class when I was younger.

Oh, no problem. You mainly just need to be graceful in your moves, and even the simplest of moves will look great.

[Let her look over her tools of the trade, and....!]

Here, maybe the ball will work best for you? It's not too intensive to work with.

[And with that, she'll hand it over.]

It's so large! We never used them often in gym class when I was younger. Will you show me how?

'Course!

[With a raise of her arm, the ball is in the air, and when it comes down, Maron will catch it to quickly roll it down one arm, over her shoulders, down her other arm, and into her other hand.]

Like that! But, just being able to throw it and catch it in a graceful manner works too, when you're just starting.

[Ami smiles a bit shyly, but steps forward.]

I'd like to try; but I might drop it by accident.

That's what practice is for, right? Even if it's just throwing it up and catching it, you have to take baby steps forward to learn!

Let's that simply, then. [She's being somewhat overly modest; while the ribbon and handling it are indeed new, gymnastic movements are similar to what she already uses when she fights.]

Is there an extra one I could use, so it won't interrupt your practice?

Oh, no, that's fine. I'm not really practicing, just keeping my abilities up. Plus, if I'm going to be teaching this stuff, might as well watch to see and be available to answer questions, right?

Is that what you want to do? I mean, is it your dream? To teach gymnastics to others? [Or perhaps, she can't help thinking, Olympic dreams?]

Huh? Oh... no, but it's something I really enjoy. I guess I could be a teacher for it, like Pakkyalamao-sensei is. I guess I never really thought about what I'd like to be doing once I enter college.

[Besides not being a thief anymore, but she can't really help that one back home for the time being.]

[She's almost envious - almost. When she was younger, her whole life had seemed to be mapped out for her. There was little room left for exploring other interests or deciding for herself. But by luck, thanks to her friends and mama, and with hard work, she's ended up in the career she chose and wanted, still fulfilling all those old expectations and dreams. She found her own reasons.]

I think I understand. You have a lot of different things you could try, and do. You should appreciate that and take your time to decide.

Right. I still have time to decide, after all. Maybe I'll find something else I like too.

Whatever it is, it should be something you love - your true dream.
