[Despite the heavy snow outside, there is a Maron trudging along in it. Her purpose? To get as many food supplies as she can. This weather is not deterring her from it, and in fact? It just makes her want to get more food! How she's carrying it all is a mystery, but she's got a lot of ingredients on top of whatever she might have in the shared space of her community housing.

For anyone else who is daring to be out in the snow, feel free to bump into her, bring stuff back to her community housing... whatever might tickle your fancy. She's being a trooper for all of this food.]

[Sometime later, anyone in Community House 6 may notice Maron on the first floor cooking up a storm. She's in the process of making risotto and gratin, and she's got ingredients out for hotcakes and croquettes. The rest of the ingredients she happened to get home? Are going to go into a hot pot for later in the evening. Does the smell of food entice anyone in the building? Because she'll offer food. In fact...]

[Once things are cooking, Maron's face will appear over the journal systems, a giant smile plastered there.]

Hi hi~ Maron here! I know it's snowing pretty hard outside, but I want to invite anyone who is interested in a free dinner over! I've got hot pot warming up with TONS of meat and vegetables, and I've got hotcakes, risotto, and gratin as well! Of course, anyone who is in my building can come too, one of them mentioned hot pot anyway [That means you, Kyon] so I figured that it's cold enough. It's a perfect time! So if you don't mind the snow, I'm in Community House Six on the first floor!

[Hopefully, the people that helped her out after her Mallynap will show up! This is a perfect way to say 'thank you', or so she thinks. This will definitely be an interesting night!]

Aah you say that so casually...! [But there's a laugh; she's not too serious about what she just said.]

Anyway, just come on downstairs! You'll get first pick at anything you want.

[And when he does appear, there will be a huge smile, a wave, and:]

Kyon! Here! You can have the first serving. Eat whatever you'd like!

[After all, he was the one who said he liked hot pot. It'd be wrong if someone else took the first serving, to her anyway.]

[He smiles back, a little vaguely, since he seems immediately distracted by the smell of the food.

'Hey, domestic bliss! You can't blame me.']

Ah, thanks. Don't you want to join in?

I will once everyone has had something. I can't hog all the food to myself, you know?

[There will be a passing of a plate now, because Kyon shall not go hungry while he's here for hot pot.]

If you need anything else, let me know! And if this isn't the best hot pot you've ever had, I'll train more diligently for the next time.

Even if it is the best I've had, you could always keep training. Improvement's got to be possible, right?

[He goes to try it, though just before starting, he adds--]

And it's not really hogging it if you just eat with your guests.

[And then he gives it an approving try. Pretty much anything reasonable would satisfy him with this setup.]

Ah, yeah, I guess so. Though I do want to give everyone a chance to eat something before I dig in too. [Being polite, really.] Though, now that you've had some, I can eat some too.

[He chuckles.]

That's the spirit. Hey, if you don't eat, people might think you don't have confidence in your own food.

I totally do! If I didn't, I would get take-out all the time instead of making myself dinner. You don't think that, do you Kyon?

[That would be terrible!]

Nope. But I'll know for sure once you taste it too.

Oh, right! [It's not a HUGE shovel of food into her mouth, but it's a pretty big bite. After a moment, of chewing and swallowing it, she pauses to think on it.]

...actually, I think this is probably the best I've made yet.

So you're still improving? That's something to look forward to.

[Hermes really did not want to come out here, even with the promise of food. On the other hand, staying home means staying by himself with that...thing...and the thing had intimated that the all-watching red monster would have its wrath stemmed by Hermes engaging in some sort of food sharing act.

Food sharing. The thought made him turn white with disgust. And yet, here he is with a box of ~~hand~~ tentacle made fruit salad. Getting to play with the shiny knives is barely compensation for this indignity.]

Fruit here. Give food. Now. [He is an angry orange blob squishing across the floor.[

[Oh it was the octopus who pulled her hair before. ...who brought food...? Well, she did invite everyone! So with a smile, Maron will take the box of fruit from Hermes.]

Sure. Do you want your meat cooked? I'll make you a plate with everything on it!

[Ooh, options. His color slowly dulls to a more peaceful teal as he mulls the matter over.] Both. Will try variety.

All right. I'll cook it up while I get your plate ready!

[And so she''ll drop some meat into the hot pot, and goes to dish up hotcakes, some risotto, and a good portion of gratin. Maron will wait a few more moments before taking the cooked meat out, placing it alongside the uncooked portion.

He proooobably doesn't need utensils, but she imagines he can hold the plate and eat?]

Is this enough for you? I'll get you more once you're done and you'd like more.

[Nom nom nom. Hermes starts with the uncooked, while the cooked cools off.] Is good to start.

[He chews down his first bite.] Have never had Christmas. Like it. Christmas has lots of food. Should do every month.

But what if I'd rather have a bath, or perhaps even you?

[ASDGKL MASAOMI. It's probably a good thing he can't see how red she is, after a comment like that.]

W-well I have a bath here if you want to use it but how do you even mean that second part?!

You know, that phrase? "Welcome home dear, would you like dinner, or a bath or... me?"

[He says that in a faux feminine voice complete with enunciation. It's probably lightly disturbing]

[Just slightly. But she had thought as much when she asked, and hearing the confirmation just makes her even more red.]

M-Masaomi! That's- we're not- I can't!

Aaaaaaaah?! Worry not, Maron-chan, even if you have a hideous deformity, I shall accept you with open arms and possibly open other things as well! After all, through your clothes, I have seen it, the legs of the gods and perhaps some boobies beside!

That's-- I don't have any deformities! A-and anyway, don't look at me like that and you should only really do stuff like that with someone you really love!

You should still only do that with someone you care about, at least. [And yes, she's pretty serious about that.] Even if I don't believe in love, it's not something that I would do so casually.

I'm serious about that. If it's not serious, it could hurt someone. With no feelings or caring, it's empty emotions. Something like that shouldn't be void of them.

For someone who isn't loving, that's pretty romantic.

Liking someone and loving someone are different. And if it's just something empty, something meaningless... if someone else is serious about it while the other isn't, it's going to hurt the other person. Whether or not I believe in love, I'd rather not be hurt.
